Sonia is a Senior Consultant on Microsoft Dynamics software and is a Certified Professional on this and other Microsoft products. She installs, configures and implements Microsoft Dynamics software for manufacturing, distribution, and service-oriented companies; as well as non-profit organizations. Sonia’s solid understanding and hands-on experience with accounting procedures and business processes enables her to recommend ways to maximize utilization of software applications and suggest practical methods for efficiently working with the software. She performs data conversions and system migrations using various import tools; prepares financial statements and reports using FRx Financial Reporter and Crystal Reports; conducts classroom and individual training; and provides on-site and remote technical support.
Sonia earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton in 1990. After graduation, she worked as a staff accountant for a local CPA firm; and sat for and passed the C.P.A. exam. Sonia gained valuable experience while working for a large corporation for seven years as a Financial Reporting Supervisor. In this role, she planned, prepared and supervised the completion of quarterly and annual statutory statements; supervised the accounting and maintenance of the company’s investment portfolios; assisted in the preparation of schedules and reports for the annual budget process; and trained employees in aspects of accounting, including documentation, team management and client-service skills.
Sonia served as the President and VP of Membership of Toastmasters International. She also has been active with the Senior Meals Program in Costa Mesa and the Youth Ministry Program at St. Polycarp Church in Stanton for 13 years.
